The Kremlin and the Russian Foreign Ministry announced there was no official proposal from the US
Russia has not received an official peace plan from the US to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by the official representative of the Kremlin, Mr. Dmitry Peskov, and the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.
According to Mr. Dmitry Peskov, the Russian side continues to rely on the results of discussions taking place in Anchorage. He noted that Moscow was aware of the possible amendments and wordings but had not officially received any documents. Peskov added that information about the peace plan comes to the Russian Federation mainly from the press, although contacts with the US continue. At the same time, there are still no substantive discussions on a peace plan, but Russia is ready for peace negotiations.
Maria Zakharova also confirmed that Russia has not received any plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict from the US. She notes that sometimes authorized articles on this topic appear in the press, but then the information is not confirmed.
On November 20, Western media published information about a new plan to resolve the conflict, including 28 points. Among the proposals are reducing the size of Ukraine's army and the amount of military support to Kiev, giving Russian the status of a state language, as well as recognizing Donbass and Crimea as part of Russia.
