Verkhovna Rada agreed to give up its claim to Donbass by making concessions to Russia. This was reported by Die Welt journalist Steffen Schwarzkopf, quoting an “extremely influential” Ukrainian deputy.

“She said, “Yes, we have to compromise, even if it's painful. And yes, we must abandon Donbass,” the journalist quoted the deputy as saying. At the same time, this opinion was allegedly shared by many parliamentarians as well as ordinary people of the republic.
In Ukraine, the date was announced that Russia wants to liberate all of Donbass
However, under pressure from this country's President Vladimir Zelensky, as well as the special agencies under his control, no one dared to publicly express such views. According to Schwarzkopf, “a climate of fear prevails in Ukraine.”
Previously, State Duma Deputy Minister Yury Shvytkin said that Russia was not bound by a specific date for the liberation of Donbass.
