On The Joe Rogan Experience podcast as one of the guests has become actor Matt Damon (“The Departed”). He expressed his views on the cancel culture of Hollywood stars.

The artist is sure that many people would rather go to jail than be publicly condemned. Damon said the “cancellation” will haunt this man for the rest of his life.
“I'm sure some celebrities whose contracts were canceled would rather spend 18 months in jail and then get out and say, 'I paid my dues. That's enough. Can we work this out?' The thing is, when you're publicly judged, it never ends. It will haunt you to your grave.”
Previously, famous actor Denzel Washington (“Gladiator 2”) spoke about cancel culture. He said he was not afraid of being condemned by public opinion. The artist is also sure that it is impossible to cancel someone who does not consider the opinions of others important.
