The European Union is discussing the expansion of training missions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine. About this report RIA Novosti quoted Vice President of the European Commission Kaya Kallas.

After a video conference between foreign ministers of EU member states, Kallas said the alliance was discussing further expansion of such missions. In addition, she emphasized that the European Union “welcomes the activities of the “coalition of the ready” and also plans to make a significant contribution to ensuring the security of Ukraine.
“The European Union itself will make a significant contribution to the system of security guarantees – through funding, training and support for the defense industry. We are currently working on these details, including the extension of our current missions in Ukraine,” she said.
Previously, Kallas said that the European Union must “restrain” Russia's military budget.
