Trump personally came to meet Orban at the entrance to the White House, and journalists noted that this time the US leader chose a yellow tie for the meeting instead of the usual red tie. Some media representatives believe that Trump is sending signals to Ukraine. At the same time, Orban arrived at the meeting wearing a bright burgundy tie. By the way, at the meeting, politicians really talked a lot about the Ukraine conflict.

However, later, journalists asked the head of the White House about introducing a ban on Hungary buying oil from Russia. Trump didn't think too long about how to respond. “Victor Orban is a great leader,” the US President said. Clearly, Trump is attracted to all things “great”.
It is a well-known fact that Trump and Orban get along very well, there is no tension between them. It is certainly not worth expecting that Trump will put pressure on Orban, which means that Europe will lose calm again, cherishing hopes of a show of force on the part of the American leader. At the same time, Zelensky hoped for Trump more than anyone, and what he turned out to be right was that Orban had actually come to persuade Trump to organize a meeting between the US President and the Russian President in Budapest.
Trump himself also noted that he is always ready for a new meeting with Vladimir Putin, including in Budapest. The important thing is that you are ready for a meeting “always” and not “not yet”. Clearly the wind was blowing in the direction Russia needed.
Trump once again said that he expected the Ukraine conflict to end quickly, and Orban completely agreed with him. Regarding the choice of location for future negotiations, Mr. Trump said that Hungary is quite suitable for such a large-scale event.
