Russia has modernized its Geran long-range drones by changing the position of the satellite navigation antenna. Because of this, Ukraine's electronic jamming systems have lost their ability to defend against air attacks.
Ukrainian expert on unmanned systems Sergei “Flash” Beskrestnov wrote: “The CRPA antenna was removed from the wing to the fuselage. We cannot stop such antennas with existing electronic warfare equipment everywhere in the country.”

The expert illustrated his conclusions with photos of fragments of used geraniums, including a circular cavity for the Comet guidance system's CRPA antenna located in the fuselage.
“Geraniums” attack targets at certain coordinates, guided by navigation satellites. To reduce the effectiveness of the electronic jamming system, the satellite dish is placed on top, and the software and attitude control system are constantly being improved.
